About Me

Hi! 
My name is Sara Maddux and this is my second year at Athlos! I moved from South Carolina last summer and received my bachelors in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina-Columbia. Outside of school, I enjoy playing basketball and cooking! I am so excited for this school year and cannot wait to connect with you all!

Upcoming Dates:

 

Tuesday, March 7th: Kindergarten will have their music concert starting at 11:00am in the gym! This will last about 30 minutes and will be a free dress day. Parents are welcome to come to this 😊

If you want to take your child home after the concert, you will sign out with the teacher and get a sticker that says, β€œI signed out with my teacher.”

 

Thursday, March 9th: Tri II ends

 

Friday, March 10th: Mark Reporting for Pre-K - 8th Grade Teachers (No School)

 

Friday, March 17th: Hat Day

Upcoming Dates:

Tomorrow, February 21st: World Culture Day! Parents are invited to come into our classroom starting at 1:30. You will see our decorations, crafts, etc., and talk with your child and students about what they learned about our country. If you decide to take your child home after this, you will sign out with me and get a sticker that says, β€œI checked out with my teacher.”  This will be a free dress day for students. 
 
Tuesday, March 7th: Kindergarten will have their music concert starting at 11:00am in the gym! This should last between 30-45 minutes. This will be a free dress day. Parents are welcome to come to this 😊

Monday, November 7th: Conferences (NO SCHOOL).

I highly encourage everyone to sign up for conferences! Conferences will be in person and will last up to 20 minutes. Please show up on time for the time you select. You can wait outside the classroom if you come early and I am still in another meeting. Our classroom is #201, and it is the last classroom on your left, near an exit door. Everyone should have been emailed how to sign up for conferences; please let me know if not. There will be no school on this day, only conferences.
