Bio

Hi there! My name is Mrs. Calleen Ries. This will be my first year at Athlos Leadership Academy and I am so excited to get started! I grew up going to a Charter school in Ramsey, so I have come to love the qualities of Charter schools. I graduated from Crown College with my bachelors in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Preprimary Education. Since then, I have been teaching Kindergarten in Ontario, Wisconsin. This summer, I moved back to Coon Rapids with my new husband and our puppy! Outside of school, I enjoy playing volleyball and doing CrossFit. I also love to read and do crafts! I am so excited to get to know you all and grow together this year!

We just ask that students not wear violent costumes and no weapons or tools of ay kind! It is a time to celebrate our hard work this fall and have some fun!!!! family members who dress up during AM drop off and PM pick up, we will be passing out treats to parents/ guardians during these times!

New sight words

Hi all! I tested all of our students for sight words this week. Many of them moved onto the next level! I put new sight words in their folder today. If they are the same as last time, that means that they could use a little more practice with those words. Please remember to practice every night!

Hello all! I hope you had a relaxing MEA break! This message is in regards to our book fair coming up next week. This is when there will be a chance for students to purchase books. If your student does not bring money, they will still have a chance to look at books. If your student does bring money, I will help make sure they pick out a book that they would like.
