Week of December 6th

Hello 4th Grade Families!

As all of you know I am all about following rules and expectations! We went over parts of the student handbook this morning during our morning meeting to refresh our memories. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about what we went over :)

Here is a peek into our week :)

LA-
We are studying inferences and how we can make inferences while reading any type of book!
NO SPELLING THIS WEEK!

SMALL GROUPS-
We are continuing to focus on reading comprehension and test taking skills as well as numbers and operations.

SOCIAL STUDIES/SCIENCE
This week is our last week focusing on social skills during our science/ social studies time. We are gone over the following social skills: social filter, being flexible, knowing the right place and time, conversation skills, reading others, and empathy. We still are learning about conflict resolution and different friendship skills.

MATH-
We started fractions last week! So far, we have looked at what is a fraction, fraction circles, equivalent fractions, and how we can find fractions in everyday life. We will be working on fraction word problems, comparing fractions and ordering fractions this week.

I have sent home a news letter today sharing that we will be doing our TREE PARADE CELEBRATION next Friday, December 17th! More information to come! Please look for a BLUE paper in your student's backpack this evening!

Please let me know if you have any question or concerns!
