Dear Athlos Family,

It is with honor that I serve as your Principal of Athlos Leadership Academy during the 2023-2024 school year. I wish to extend a warm welcome to you and look forward to working alongside you and your student to instill in them a strong character, a prepared and brilliant mind, and a healthy body.

Athlos Leadership Academy is a school community united in our dedication to inspire one another, value relationships, and provide an exceptional education to every student. With your support, combined with the unmatched commitment, determination, and passion of the teachers, we will continue to strive for excellence.

At Athlos, students are earnest and approach learning with tenacity; every day they bring their curiosity, inquisitive nature, and desire for knowledge. We watch their eyes light up when they are mastering a skill or understanding a key concept. They are learning from us, yet we are learning from them as they challenge us to stretch our minds, blend our teaching styles, and embrace creativity to provide opportunities that allow each of them to shine.

The foundation of our Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade educational program begins with specialized, research-based curriculum approved by the Board and Administration and ties to the Minnesota state standards. We take great pride in the rigorous programming and instruction offered through the delivery of preparatory coursework for high school and beyond, leadership opportunities, health and physical education, and participation in community service projects. We are committed to academic achievement. We focus on planning for students’ strengths and interests through the delivery of innovative and differentiated instruction. Our daily preparedness and observations ensure that each and every student becomes equipped to pursue their dreams.

Every day we feel the support from you and the Brooklyn Park community. Strong community and school relationships will be vital to our students’ growth in performance character and leadership. We share a vested interest in inspiring our students to excel both within their classroom and as a member of their local community. As students’ progress and meet high expectations in character, academics, leadership, and commitment to their community, we, along with you, vow to celebrate their accomplishments.
