Week of Oct. 31

Hello Families!

Just a reminder that Monday Oct. 31 will be a free dress day to celebrate our Fall Celebration day. Students may come to school dressed up as a favorite character, animal, etc. as long as it is appropriate for school and not scary or violent (also nothing with toy weapons). Iā€™m excited to see what everyone does.

This week in Language Arts we will be learning about nonfiction text features and practicing how to use them, where to find them, and why they are useful. We will also be reading a story and learning some vocabulary words from it.

In Math we are going to work some more with In/Out Boxes as well as practicing regrouping and borrowing with multidigit addition and subtraction. We will also review place value and rounding numbers.

In Social Studies we are learning about natural resources and how we use them. We will also continue to review the continents and oceans on Earth. Students are having lots of fun with two songs we have been listening to in order to help us learn the 7 continents and 5 oceans.

Please reach out if you have questions or concerns. Thanks and have a great week!
