Student Dress Code, Uniforms & Personal Items
Our Purpose
Athlos Leadership Academy's dress code is designed to promote school pride, student safety, unity, and a positive learning environment. Our uniform expectations help minimize distractions and ensure students are prepared to participate fully in academics, leadership, character development, fitness, and other activities throughout the school day.
We recognize that circumstances arise and are committed to partnering with families when assistance is needed.
🛍️ Purchasing Athlos Uniforms
Official Athlos uniforms and approved Athlos logo apparel should be purchased through our approved uniform store:

All regular uniform shirts and athletic bottoms must display an approved Athlos “A” or Spartan logo. Official Athlos spirit wear and school-sponsored apparel may also be worn as approved uniform clothing.

All clothing should be clean, appropriately fitted, in good condition, and suitable for an active school day.
⭐ Other Approved Apparel
Students may also wear:
- Official Athlos spirit wear and school-sponsored shirts, including May Madness, Field Day, leadership events, grade-level shirts, and other approved Athlos apparel.
- An official jersey from an athletic team on which the student participates outside of school.
- Official Boy Scout or Girl Scout uniforms.
👟 Athletic Shoes Are Required Every Day
Because movement and fitness are an important part of the Athlos school day, students must wear athletic/tennis shoes every day.
Crocs, slippers, slides, flip-flops, high heels, dress shoes, and other non-athletic footwear are not appropriate for fitness class or outdoor recess.
Proper athletic footwear ensures students can safely participate in Physical Education, recess, classroom movement, leadership activities, and other fitness opportunities.
🤝 New Students & Families Needing Assistance
We understand that uniforms may occasionally be unavailable because of enrollment timing, financial hardship, or an unexpected family circumstance.
Newly enrolled students waiting for an official uniform order may temporarily wear solid-colored clothing in approved Athlos uniform colors. The Athlos logo is not required during this temporary period.
Families experiencing a hardship should contact the school. When possible, we will work with families to provide uniform items and help students meet dress code expectations.
❤️ If a Student Arrives Out of Uniform
Our goal is to solve the problem, not punish the student.
Staff will work with the student and family to correct the concern as quickly as possible while minimizing lost instructional time. Depending on the situation, a student may receive a temporary uniform item, change into appropriate clothing, or receive a reminder.
Repeated concerns will result in family communication and, when necessary, a plan for consistent compliance.
🎒 Backpacks & Personal Bags
Students in grades 6–8 may carry backpacks from class to class.
Middle school students may also carry a small purse or personal bag; however, it must remain inside the student's backpack during hallway transitions and while in class.
Students are responsible for their belongings, and bags may not interfere with safety or learning.
🚫 Please Leave These Items at Home
Unless specifically approved for a classroom activity, school event, or spirit day, students should not bring:
- Blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, or slippers
- Hats or hoods, except for approved religious, medical, or school purposes
- Toys, novelty items, or trading/collectible cards
- Distracting fidgets or gadgets
- Laser pointers
- Permanent markers or paint pens
- Portable speakers
- Skateboards, hoverboards, roller skates/blades, scooters, or similar recreational equipment
- Energy drinks or highly caffeinated beverages
- Large quantities of candy or snacks intended for sharing or selling
- Any item determined by administration to create a safety concern or disruption to learning
Students should bring only what they need for school. Athlos is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
