Look at the Week November 27th

Hello first grade families!

Math:

This week in math we are focusing on length, measurement, ten more and ten less of a number, and addition fact families.

Homework:

We will have math homework activity every night. Homework is mandatory and will be graded. Please make sure your student is completing their math homework nightly.

Language Arts

We will work on identifying who is telling the story in the texts we read.

Spelling:

Spelling words this week are; hope, late, hike, make, rule, cute, line, nine, take, & bone.

We will take a spelling assessment on Thursday.

Homework: Make sure your child is reading and working on sight words for at least twenty minutes each night.

Social Studies:

This week we will complete our geography unit. We will be taking the unit assessment on Thursday.

Please have your student read online on their Razkids account.

Reminders:

We go outside for recess twice daily, please make sure your child is dressed for the weather. Students can leave boots and snow paints at school. Please make sure students are brining healthy snacks to school. Lately, I have had to tell students they may not eat the snack they brought to school because it was candy or cookies. Water is the only drink students are allow to have in the classroom.

Dec 19th- Christmas tree parade during school hrs.

Dec 20- Jan 1 NO SCHOOL!
