MCA Testing Dates for Students

Hello!
 
8th graders will be taking the MCA tests on the following dates:
  • Reading MCA's: March 22-25
  • Math MCA's: April 18-22
  • Science MCA's: May 3-6
Though there are 4-5 days allotted for each test, testing will most likely be finished after the first 2 days of each test week. 
 
There will be no live stream Zoom lessons for distance learners on the first 2 days of each testing week, which will be March 22-23, April 18-19, and May 3-4. If additional days are needed for testing, teachers will update distance learners about the Zoom lessons schedule through our webpages. 
 
On days when there are no live stream Zoom lessons during MCA testing, distance learners will have an assignment to do on Schoology. Distance learners and families, please watch our webpages and Schoology for updates!

Cell Phone and Wearable Technology Procedures for MCA's

Per state requirements, students are unable to have access to their cell phones or wearable technology at any time during MCA testing or during breaks from MCA testing. In the event that a student has access to a cell phone or wearable technology during testing, the student’s test is required to be invalidated, even if the student did not use the device. Wearable technology includes, but is not limited to smart watches and fitness trackers.

On dates when your student is scheduled to take MCA assessments, your student will check in their phone and/or device with me on the morning of testing. I will collect the phone/device, put it in a labeled zip locked bag and keep it in a locked cupboard until the end of testing for the day, at which time I will return the phone/device to your student.
