Week at a Glance 9.12-9.16

Hello Week 2!!

We are starting spelling this week. Our list of spelling words is on the first page of my Week at a Glance. Please help your child practice their spelling words at home for our spelling test on Friday! For Language Arts, we will be starting a novel study. The book we will be using is "One Day in the Prairie" and students will be taking notes using Cornell Notes. In Math, we will continue Unit 1. This week we will learn how to round and estimate, and different strategies to solve number stories. In Social Studies, we will be finishing Chapter 1 and take the test later this week. We had a great first week in 4th Grade! We will continue to create a welcoming space and practicing our rules and expectations.

Reminder: Please have your student wear their uniform every day! We are also implementing our uniform policy. We have fitness everyday this year so please make sure your child is wearing appropriate shoes to school.

Week at a Glance 9.6-9.9

Hello Fourth Grade Families!

I am so excited to start this new school year with your fourth graders! Our 22-23 school year begins on Tuesday (9/6). This week we will be focusing on building relationships with one another, going over rules and expectations in our classroom and throughout the school, and starting on our curriculum. Attached is my Week at a Glance that I will post weekly for families to look at. We will be having fitness everyday so students need to be wearing tennis shoes at school as well.

We are implementing our uniform policy this year so please make sure your student is wearing their uniform everyday.
