May Madness Shirts

May Madness shirts are being sent home today. If you ordered them for more than one student, they will be sent home with the oldest student. If students that didn’t get to purchase online are interested in purchasing a shirt, we have limited supply that we will be selling onsite starting on May 8th. These shirts can be worn as a uniform.

URGENT PLEASE READ!!

Hello all,

I just want to CLARIFY that if you were chosen to be a chaperone, I emailed you already. In a pervious post, I stated you would be receiving an email if chosen. We only had 3 spots open and we have filled those spots. Even if you filled out the chaperone portion of the permission slip, this does not mean that you are a chaperone. If you show up without permission, we will need to ask you to leave. Parents are required to submit to a background check before being around the rest of the class on a field trip.

There is always next time!

FIELD TRIP ANNOUNCEMENTS!!!

Good morning all,
As you know, our field trip to Como Zoo is tomorrow. Here are a few things:

1.This is still a school day-- so your children should wear their uniforms.
2.We are saying NO to sunglasses and water bottles-- too many students have lost them in years past.
3. On your permission slip, you selected a home or school lunch, if you selected a home lunch, please make sure to send one with your child.
4. It will be about 40-50 degrees while we are there. Please send a sweatshirt or sweater with your child, but NO coats. We are trying to limit the things that students need to carry around for the day.

If you have any other questions please feel free to email me.

Homework update

Good morning families,
I have changed homework for today and tomorrow. Today's homework will be an addition sheet. They will need to finish the whole sheet WITHOUT a calculator. On the right-hand side of the sheet, there are blank boxes. Your student should make up their own addition problems and write them in those boxes. Tomorrow's homework will now be 8-7. Have a great day!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ!

Good morning I have some important information to give!

1. We will be going on a field trip to Como Zoo! This will be on April 26th. I will be sending permission slips home today. These permission slips will be due on April 21st. Our class is allowed 2 chaperones. It is on a first-come-first-serve basis. You can check this on your student's permission slip. I will be emailing you if you were chosen. Lastly, this field trip will cost $15.00. You will need to pay this on your student's portal. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT CASH.

2. Some students have been consistently coming to school without their uniforms. Just a reminder, UNIFORMS MUST BE WORN EACH DAY. If your child lost their uniform, our Lost and Found is very full right now. I will need to start emailing home if this cannot be addressed.

3. This reminder is not much fun... Lately, some of our students have been really struggling with respect. We have had disrespect towards me and their other teachers (talking back and not following directions), disrespect towards each other (name calling, teasing, hitting, and not stopping when someone asks us to stop), and we have had disrespect of our things (ripping up assignments, pushing over chairs and tables, and cutting things that are not paper). Not every student has been showing these behaviors, but it would be good to hear a refresher at home about how to act in school.

Thank you!:)
