Sight words

Good morning!
In an attempt to push students in their sight words, I will be attempting to test everyone at least one time a week. Hopefully students will progress in their sight words quickly! Because of this, it would take a lot of time out of my prep to continuously print new sight words for everyone to take home. So, I am attaching all of the sight words. When your student comes home with a new color, you can print the sight words at home or practice on the computer! These sight words are not in color, o look at the upper right hand color for the correct word list. Thank you!

Water bottles

Hello,
All year, we have had MANY water bottle spills. If you choose to send your child to school with a water bottle, please make sure it is a reusable one (not the one-time plastic water bottles). Students have been biting holes in the bottom so that they leak. Also, the twist tops are hard for the little hands to get on correctly. To keep our room, and papers dry please consider sending a more reliable water bottle to school. Thank you!

Upcoming Culture Fair! Please Read!!

Hello all,

If you haven't already, you will be getting an email from Athlos regarding the culture fair. I will give you a quick overview:

Our culture fair is looking different this year. Parents will come into their own student's classroom at 1:30 for a presentation of their country.

Our country is Australia and we will be doing a presentation of Australia. Parents will come into our class at 1:15 for a student-led presentation. That being said here is the most important part of the message:
Our class will be practicing this presentation today and tomorrow. However, since we do not have school on Monday, the students will go 3 days without practicing before the presentation day. I am sending home your student's part so they can memorize and practice over the weekend. Please make sure your students practice this until they are comfortable speaking in front of a group of parents.

Thank you for your help in preparing your child for this presentation!
