Athlos Leadership Academy uses the Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System to assess and define students’ reading proficiency in Kindergarten through third grade in accordance with ALA’s K-3 Literacy Plan. The benchmark system may also be used in grades 4-8 to track growth and to support instruction.
