Per our school policy, if a student mis-uses his/her school iPad at school or at home, the school device will be collected and kept at school.  An iPad will then be checked out to the student for educational purposes while at school as needed.

2020-21 Application for Educational Benefits

Dear Students and Families,

Athlos Leadership Academy families are asked to complete the application for free and reduced lunch benefits. Despite meals being free through June 2021, it is still very important that all families fill out an application for meal benefits. Qualifying for educational benefits means a student(s) will continue to have access to free breakfast and lunch, as well as provide critical funding for our school.

Please complete the attached application.

Applications can be returned in the following ways:

  • Schoology - Complete the form digitally using Notability.  Your student’s school iPad has this app and will allow you to write on a pdf.  Please see the attached directions to use Notability to submit the form through Schoology.  If your student is familiar with the app, we are sure he/she can help you as well!  We need a signature for the form to be complete.
  • Fax – 763-315-0601
  • Email – [email protected]
  • Mail - 10100 Noble Parkway North, Brooklyn Park MN 55443
  • Drop Box – located outside of the school building

Applications must be completely filled out, signed, and dated in order to be processed. Feel free to call the front office at 763-777-8942 with any questions or if you need assistance with the form.

Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions!

Tech Help!!

Dear Students and Families,

If you are in need to technology support, please email [email protected] for assistance.  Since the school building is currently closed for distance learning, this will be the fastest way to get your questions answered.

For password related questions, please reach out to your student’s homeroom teacher.

Thank you!

Dear Students,

I missed seeing you this week!  Distance learning will be starting on Monday, November, 30.   There will be live lessons via Zoom throughout distance learning for all of your core classes.  Your teachers will continue to post instructional videos as well, in case you cannot make it to a live lesson.  You will continue to use Schoology, Study Island and Big Ideas Math to complete your assigned daily tasks.

Each homeroom will follow their own schedule for live lessons.  A letter was emailed to families this week with this information.  Starting on Monday, November 30, grade-level teachers will also post the live learning schedule on their webpage and on Schoology.  This post will also include information about the daily lesson and the assigned daily task.

As always, please let me know if you need anything or if you have any questions.  I am looking forward to seeing you again soon!

ART

Title: Cartoon Design Pt. 2

A Note from Your Teacher:

Hello again, Athlos artists! Have you ever made an original character (aka, OC)? Today, we will begin experimenting in cartoon design by creating unique characters that show VARIETY, specifically when it comes to body shape. This practice can help us think of fresh ways to create characters so that they stand out and are interesting! If you have not watched the “Cartoon Design Pt. 1” video, please watch it FIRST using the link below.

To view the video, copy and paste the link down below into your internet browser (or simply press the “Ctrl” button and click the link at the same time). Feel free to pause the video as needed and as always, you are more than welcome to reach out if you have any questions…or just want to say, “hi” J
