This lab write-up sheet has been uploaded as a writing assignment on Study Island where you will submit it for points. This assignment is due on Friday for distance learners.

Hello Scientists!!!
 
You should print this table of contents out or redraw (if you don't have access to a printer) this into your Science notebook! This will help you to stay organized and allow you to reference notes on specific pages in your science notebook. You can make this unique to you but I wanted to provide some guidance just in case:)

On the agenda for Science today is some lab safety review and an activity that goes along with it. In addition, you will get to see a lab experiment demo in action by Ms. ScienceE (Ms. E). In addition, we will do a short intro for the Scientific Method. If you accidentally miss the live stream please do not stress just try your best to make it next time. I will be recording my lesson after school and posting just in case you missed it during its live time. 

DISTANCE LEARNERS:

HOMEWORK: -Crazy Cool Clementine Experiment Write-Up Lab. I have assigned this on Study Island. It will be due by Friday. 

 

Science Notebooks are a requirement as we will be writing in them everyday. Please let me know if you need one. Make sure to write down all the brain warm-ups of the day as you will be submitting all of those together as the end of the week.

For FITNESS today you will complete activities that practice Jumping Jacks, Squats, and Push ups!

Today is Friday Friday! Congrats on making in thru your first week! I'm so proud of you guys! Friendly reminder that today you are FULL distance learning which means no live lessons. SCIENCE 9/11:  
  • 1.) Finish up your Safety in the Lab Stations Assignment (due Sunday Sept. 13th at 11:59PM). If you are confused on how to access and or do the assignment I created a video to walk you thru it. The link to this video is here:
  • 2.) Work on Lab Safety & Science Pre-Test (Friday Exploration) which is posted on Study Island and it will guide you thru the assignment and assessment. THE PRE-TEST IS NOT GRADED it is just a way for me to see what you know so DO NOT STRESS about your score at the end and just do your best:) 
  • 3.) Sign and Paste your Safety Contract into your Science Notebook
  • 4.) Have a great weekend!!

Lab Safety Contract

You should all view the lab safety contract and if you have the ability to print it please do so. You will NEED to sign the contract and put it in your science notebook so you can reference it when needed. Thanks!! You guys rock!!! I can't wait to have fun this school year!!

GOOOD MORNINGG 7th Graders!!!! Congrats on making it to day #3!! I'm so proud of all of you! 
 
Today in class we will be learning about lab safety and how to implement that in our classroom. Even though you may not physically be in the science lab this is VERY important information for you to know and utilize in the future. Also, if you are a hybrid student we will be doing labs in person throughout the year so this is very valuable information I will be referencing frequently. 
 
Your assignment for the day has been posted and will be available to view on Study Island (A link to the Google Docs with your assignment). On Study Island you have to look on the left side of the page and click MY CLASSES and then click on view assignments under Engel and you will find all assignments for Science listed there. 
 
You will be completing a Safety in the Lab Stations Assignment. All the directions are attached and in the google docs I have posted a link to on STUDY ISLAND. Follow those directions carefully and have fun!
