Hello Athlos Families,

 

Our Fall Conferences will take place on October 12th and October 13th from 3:30-6:30pm. These conferences will take place virtually over Zoom.

 

Please use our PickaTime system to sign up for a time that works for your family.

 

All students, PreK-8, will only sign up with their homeroom teacher for this round of conferences.

SCIENCE ~ In Class Work/Homework:

#1.) OUR FIRST UNIT TEST WILL BE WEDNESDAY (10/14) THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!

  • #2.) I attached a study guide above PLEASE DO IT!!! YOU WILL BE ABLE TO USE IT ON THE TEST!
    • You will be submitting your study guides to me on Study Island!!
  • #3.) MAKE SURE YOU HAVE TAKEN THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD QUIZ HERE IS THE GOOGLE FORMS LINK TO IT: 
  • #4.) Brain Warm-Up of the day:
    •  1. "WITHOUT looking at your notes what are the steps to the Scientific Method?"
    •  2. "Explain the steps of the Scientific Method in your own words."
    • BRAIN WARM-UPS MUST BE TYPED OUT SAYING YOU WROTE THEM IN YOUR NOTEBOOK IS NOT ENOUGH I MUST BE ABLE TO READ THEM!!! I will return the assign. back to you if this is not done properly. 
    • You submit them every Friday.
  • #5.) Complete Skittles Lab (if you haven't submitted it yet).
    • You will be turning this Skittle Lab Write-Up sheet in on Study Island.
    • I have attached the Skittles Lab PowerPoint above which includes ALL data you will need to complete this lab. 
    • YOU SHOULD MAKE A GRAPH ON PAPER THEN TAKE A PICTURE OF IT AND EMAIL IT TO ME AT   [email protected]!!!
  • #6.)  GET CAUGHT UP ON ALL THE WORK YOU ARE MISSING BECAUSE I DID SOME GRADING AND SOME OF YOU NEED TO REDO ASSIGNMENTS AND THEN RESUBMIT THEM TO ME.

    • Is in the PowerPoint Presentation labeled "Skittles Lab and Brain Warm-Up PowerPoint" and is attached to the post above.
    • Remember you will be turning in your brain warm ups on study island on FRIDAY!!! Make sure you are keeping track of them!
  • Complete Skittles Lab
    • You will be turning this Skittle Lab Write-Up sheet in to me today on Study Island. You can always just do the lab on Study Island as I have all the information listed there for you.
    • The Skittle Lab Write-Up Sheet is attached in the post above if you want it as a Word Doc and is labeled "Skittle Lab Distance Learners" 
    • I WILL BE PROVIDING ALL DISTANCE LEARNERS WITH PROPER DATA AFTER WE DO THE EXPERIMENT IN CLASS INCASE YOU DON'T HAVE ACCEESS TO SKITTLES (Which is completely okay:))
    • If you have access to the fun size Skittles packs then you are welcome to do the experiment on your own.
