Fall Conferences Scheduling Directions for Parents!

Hello Athlos Families,

 

Our Fall Conferences will take place on October 12th and October 13th from 3:30-6:30pm. These conferences will take place virtually over Zoom.

 

Please use our PickaTime system to sign up for a time that works for your family.

 

All students, PreK-8, will only sign up with their homeroom teacher for this round of conferences.

4th-8th Friday, October 2nd Art Lesson 

Title: Story Vessel Part Three 

A Note from Your Teacher:  

Hello, Athlos artists! Each Friday, make sure to ask yourself, “did I see Ms. McCotter in-person this week?” If the answer is “no,” make sure to watch the art video for that current week! 

Today, we are continuing to work on our story vessel projects. After reviewing what we know about the Ancestral Pueblo people, we will begin adding effects and color to our backgrounds. Then, finish your vessel and story sketch! You can use pictures, words, colors, and almost anything else to talk about your story. While I encourage you to fill your background with color (using whatever material you’d like) today, you can save coloring the vessel and story until next week while other students catch up. 

If you have an Athlos iPad, watch the “Background, Select, and Transform Tutorial” video below after watching the regular lesson video and do your drawing in the program. If you do not yet have an Athlos iPad, continue working with paper, but check in with your homeroom teacher about if you should be getting your iPad or not. 

Feel free to pause the video as needed and as always, you are more than welcome to reach out if you have any questions…or just want to say, “hi” J
